Who We Are...

·        We are an advocacy group for kidney patients.

·        We are a support group for kidney patients.

·        Members of our group were instrumental in 1986 in passing Georgia’s dialyzer reuse law which makes dialyzer reuse a medical decision between doctor and patient rather than a decision of the dialysis facility.

·        Members of our group were instrumental in 2000 in passing Georgia’s dialysis facility licensure law that now protects the health and safety of Georgia’s 13,000 dialysis patients by increasing state inspections and setting new standards of care.

·        We are the only independent kidney patient organization in the state of Georgia.

·        We are pledged to always represent the best interests of kidney patients. Some other kidney organizations have other constituencies to represent. We speak only for the patients.

·        We will be incorporated as a non-profit organization in Georgia.
